Charlotte County Hopes for Lead
Captain Michael Savage from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office looked through the deck of cold case cards handed out to inmates and noticed six cards that featured Charlotte County murders that all happened within six miles of each other on the same day - December 19, 1991. The cases are still unsolved today.
"With each of these cases someone has a piece of information that they may believe is inconsequential but may really be the key to the resolution of their case," said Captain Savage.
New Cards for SW Florida
5,000 decks of playing cards have been issued to jails in Charlotte and Collier counties.
The cases featured on the playing cards came from the following participating law enforcement agencies: Cape Coral Police Department, Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Fort Myers Police Department, Naples Police Department, and the Punta Gorda Police Department.
